Melissa Jaworski, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

“My goal is to provide the best quality care to each individual based on their specific needs.  I have specialized in the treatment of the hand, wrist and elbow for over 12 years.  I have treated the following upper extremity conditions including, but not limited to, fractures, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon lacerations, nerve damage, arthritis, joint replacements, strokes, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis.  I routinely attend continuing education courses to advance my knowledge and to keep up-to-date on new treatments and technology.  I believe that as an occupational therapist that it is my duty to evaluate and treat the whole person and formulate their treatments to maximize their functional return and improve their quality of life in a warm, inviting, friendly and empathetic atmosphere.”

Melissa joined the Phoenix Physical Therapy and Health Services team in November 2010.  Melissa resides in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, John and their two children, Chloe and Bryce.  She and her husband play active roles in their children’s lives.  Melissa coaches Chloe’s basketball teams and John also has coached Bryce’s baseball teams.  In addition, Melissa enjoys running, basketball, reading, scrapbooking and playing Wii.
