Meghan L. Gearhart, PT, DPT
Facility Director / Physical Therapist
“My goal as a physical therapist is to give my patients the tools they need to bridge the gap from the first day they come in to see me to where they ultimately want to be. To do so, I feel continuing to educate myself in this profession further is imperative to add more tools to my clinical toolbox to help my patients achieve their own goals.”
Meghan rejoined the PHOENIX team in the spring of 2019 while holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics along the East Coast since 2013 while completing continuing education in manual therapy, dry needling, taping, hip/pelvic and foot/ankle dysfunction, and performing arts medicine.
In addition to presentations at IADMS Conferences, Meghan assisted with backstage coverage of off-Broadway shows and the So You Think You Can Dance Tour. Before her undergraduate work, she taught and assisted dance classes and performed in Walt Disney World and on Royal Caribbean cruises. While in physical therapy school, she completed a year-long dance medicine internship with Mandy Blackmon, head physical therapist for the Atlanta Ballet.
Meghan presents dance injury prevention workshops to collegiate dance programs and local studios within the local Charlotte dance community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking dance/Pilates/yoga/barre classes, traveling, photography, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
