Matthew P. Turner, PT, DPT
Facility Director / Physical Therapist
I aim to help people of all ages return to the activities and hobbies that they desire without the need for pain medication, injections, or unnecessary surgery. This remedy comes in numerous shapes and interventions, but I feel that the best treatment we can provide is to listen to the patient and build a robust and lasting bond together. By not masking pain and finding the root cause of the patient’s symptoms, only then can we say we have made a difference.
Formerly a member of the PHOENIX team in Pottsville, PA, in 2019, Matt rejoined the PHOENIX team in Charlotte as the lead physical therapist and facility director for PHOENIX’s first outpatient physical therapy center in North Carolina. Matt’s clinical expertise focuses on generalized outpatient orthopedics, post-operative conditions, sports rehabilitation, and work-related injuries. Matt underwent post-graduate training with NAIOMT, and is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist, plus holds a certification in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Training.
Outside of the clinic, Matt loves spending time with his wife, Rachael, and their Golden Retriever, Ralphie – who relocated from Hershey, PA to the Charlotte area in 2016.
Matt enjoys the experience of different cultures throughout the world and frequently travels back to his childhood home in England. As a former student-athlete at Lebanon Valley College, Matt continues to be involved in hockey as well as other hobbies which includes hiking and skiing whenever possible.
