PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY...
"I am absolutely committed to clinical excellence by providing the highest quality care in the most efficient manner possible.
This means staying current in my field. I have attended over 80 continuing education courses, participate in
professional organizations, obtained advanced degrees and certifications, teach, lecture and stay up to date with the current literature."
PATIENT CARE PHILOSOPHY...
"Very simply, my philosophy is getting the patient better in the shortest amount of time through the most effective means possible.
I put a tremendous amount of effort into educating the patient about their medical condition. Education,
along with proper treatment, serves to inform the patient about the consequences of their condition and in turn,
what they can do to best help themselves get better. Most importantly, once the patient is better, education
serves to maintain gains made during treatment and prevent recurrence."

PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY...
“I am committed first and foremost to
providing the highest quality of patient care. I believe
this means always being open to learning new techniques and
staying current in my field. I also believe this means
remaining flexible in order to adapt to advances in the
field and the medical community.”
PATIENT CARE PHILOSOPHY...
“My patient care philosophy is that you must
treat the whole patient and always have an open mind and
good listening skills. It is important to listen to
patients in order to meet their personal goals and to
improve their overall function. As physical therapists our
goal should always be improving patient function and quality
of life.”

PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY...
“I have devoted my career
as an Occupational Therapist to the specialty of Hand
Therapy as it is our hands that separate us from other
species and how we use them to define who we are as people.
Our hands enable us to work, play and take care of our
personal needs. When hands are injured, our entire life
process is altered and it is imperative that it be restored
to its maximum potential.
Being a Hand Therapist for as long as I have gives me
experience with many kinds of people and injuries. I spent
several years in a large medical university department which
gave me a firm foundation for injury recovery and
post-operative care. Adding to that experience, I worked in
a private practice that interfaced closely with employers
and industrial settings to understand mechanism of injuries
and also how to avoid them. Upon moving to the Philadelphia
area, I served an academic appointment and further added to
my knowledge of how to work with and educate people about
their injuries or how to manage a chronic condition.”
PATIENT CARE PHILOSOPHY...
“I think it is
important to treat each person as a unique individual and
listen to him/her, prioritize his/her goals and do all in my
ability to help him/her attain those goals knowing each
person reacts differently to a disease or injury.
We all have different duties, responsibilities and familial
expectations. It is my job to try to understand this as
clearly as I can so that we can design a treatment program
together to get the patient back to the lifestyle he/she
chooses. Treatment is a combination or pre or post
modalities, one on one interaction and home exercises to
carry over the gains made between appointments. But it is
truly a team effort- patient, doctor and therapist.”
