Healthy Endings Fitness Program

This self-pay program allows a discharged patient to continue a maintenance exercise program that is individualized to his or her needs. Based on the hours available in each facility, the patient is welcome to attend as often as desired or suggested by the physical therapist.

Orthotic/Prosthetic Training

This program involves the evaluation of the fit and function of custom-made braces and artificial limbs for adults and children. This includes foot orthotics for diabetes, sports injuries, pain, or other injuries, various types of hand splints, or upper and lower extremity prosthetics due to amputation.

Back School

Our therapists believe that educating their patients is essential in the patients¹ care and recovery. Back school is a structured educational program about trunk anatomy, posture, body mechanics, and prevention. Back school is usually offered to a group of patients or clients.

Low Back and Neck Programs

Our therapists are highly trained to treat patients with musculoskeletal problems involving the low back and neck areas. Each patient is evaluated and initiated into an individualized treatment program stressing fitness and exercise, education, and re-injury prevention.

Ergonomics for the Work Site

Our therapists can offer programs for companies in the area of ergonomics for the work site. This includes evaluating the relationship among the worker, the work that is done, the tasks and activities inherit in that work, and the environment in which the work is performed. Our therapists use scientific and engineering principles to improve the safety, efficiency, and quality of movement involved in that work.

Injury Prevention Programs

Injury prevention programs can be offered to individual patients and/or groups of non-injured clients. The programs consist of instruction in proper posture and positioning in work or leisure environments, proper lifting techniques, instruction in hand/wrist injury prevention and care, and education with emphasis on self-responsibility.

Vestibular Programs

Many of our therapists are specially trained in vestibular rehabilitation or the treatment of patients with balance difficulties secondary to vestibular disorders, as in benign paroxysmal positioning vertigo or BPPV. These therapists often use unique patient positioning and training to eliminate the balance difficulties.

Fall Prevention Programs

Fall prevention programs are designed specifically to meet the needs of anyone with balance dysfunction, including dizziness, loss of balance feelings, frequent falls, or vertigo, as well as injuries such as stroke and head trauma. The programs offer balance/fall risk screens and one-on-one personalized programs, with treatments including balance exercises, strengthening/flexibility/conditioning exercises, and home assessments as needed.

Golf:  A Biomechanical Enrichment Program

Golf: A Biomechanical Enrichment Program is a program geared towards area golfers which consists of structural and functional examinations related to swing faults. Under the guidance of a specially trained physical therapist, each participant can choose to receive a biomechanical evaluation of his/her golf swing mechanics through the use of an evaluation tool known as the Functional Performance Model, thus allowing the physical therapist the ability to assess and educate the golfer regarding the possible movement dysfunctions and swing faults. Based upon findings of the biomechanical evaluation process, an individualized program is developed for the golfer. Program components include a recommendation for improving soft tissue and joint mobility; instruction in a home stretching and strengthening program; instruction in golf-specific exercise drills for coordination and balance; and strengthening and endurance exercise.
