PHOENIX Rehabilitation

Work Hardening

At PHOENIX our Physical and Occupational Therapists will utilize work hardening to assist patients in returning to their pre-injury work level in a safe and timely manner. Work hardening is 5 days per week, 2 to 8 hours in duration per session. Work hardening includes cardiovascular conditioning, strengthening and flexibility exercise, joint and spine stabilization exercise, instruction of safe and proper  body mechanics, and training in both material and non-material handling job tasks. When possible, work hardening tasks are customized to meet the needs of a specific job description.
