Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location - Corporate Headquarters

PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. provides outpatient rehabilitation services in over 60 offices across the Mid-Atlantic region.  Services are primarily Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Medicine delivered in ambulatory settings to patients and employers.  PHOENIX has created a niche in the rehabilitation services industry focusing on both clinical care and customer care by hiring highly skilled clinicians, providing them autonomy to deliver high quality, on-time and one-on-one care.  PHOENIX enjoys substantial market share in our locations because of the focus on our patients.  The Company is poised for continued growth and we are looking for the right candidate to join our exceptional employees.

At this time, we are interviewing for a Chief Financial Officer to join senior management and participate in an accelerated growth plan.  This position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them.  A well-suited candidate can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them.  The style is purposeful, directed at getting things done quickly.  There is a great deal of challenge and pressure, and people and problems must be handled with confidence and determination.  This job requires self-assurance and a competitive drive.  There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results.  The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities.  This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring a somewhat authoritative, directive leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

Key Accountabilities:


- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

- Become an effective leader of the finance and accounting department

- Provide debt and equity financing leadership

- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction



- Participate in key decisions as a member of the senior executive management team


Financial Information-

- Oversee the issuance of financial information, including audits

- Report financial results to the board of directors


Risk Management-

- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

- Construct and monitor reliable control systems



- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

- Arrange for debt and equity financing


Third Parties-

- Represent the company with private equity, investment bankers and investors 


Candidates should possess:

Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive accounting experience

HealthCare & leadership experience preferred

Experience with banking, shareholders and investors relations

Proven track record of success

Strong experience in equity financing

Confident and self-motivated personality
