Clinical Trainer

Location - Corporate Headquarters

PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. is a Physical Therapist owned and managed outpatient rehabilitation provider.  Throughout our nineteen-year history, PHOENIX has gradually expanded to include over 60 outpatient centers across PA and the Mid-Atlantic region including VA and DE.  Our services are primarily Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Medicine delivered in ambulatory settings to patients and employers.  By hiring highly skilled clinicians and providing them autonomy to deliver high quality, on-time and one-on-one care, PHOENIX has created a niche in the rehabilitation services industry where focus is perpetually placed upon clinical care and customer service.  This niche has earned us a substantial market share in each community whereby allowing us to posture for continued growth. 

At this time, we are in search of candidates to join our team of exceptional employees in the following role:

Clinical Trainer 

The ideal candidates are either former or current practitioners of Physical or Occupational Therapy who have excelled clinically but also have a background in training and or management of processes and procedures in therapy occupations.  While job expectations are clear the job environment can be variable with less structure.  This position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, the ability to quickly connect with others and respect for the rules and standard operating procedures of the organization.  A well suited candidate can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical problem solving ideas that may be encountered in a training environment.  There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results.  The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities.  This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring a persuasive and at times collaborative leadership style.

Key accountabilities for this role includes:

- Responsible to provide key operational training to select Outpatient Offices and/or Facility Directors on a short term intensive basis, typically during the orientation phase of a new facility or new Facility Director.

- Key Operating Training includes but not limited to:


- Key PRHS Policies/Procedures

- Key Metrics/Dashboard/Financials


- Intentional Culture

- Compliance policies/procedures

- Staff leadership/coaching when applicable

- Responsible to provide relevant metrics of performance of an Outpatient Office during the orientation phase to the staff of that office, and provide insight, training and matrix/indirect leadership and direction on how to bring those metrics into line with Company averages and expectations. 

- Must be able to train OPOs and FDs in a manner that ensures a superior and collaborative working relationship

- Make recommendations to the EVPO or the Regional DCO of continued viability of a select office, FD or any staff member working in those offices based on training feedback

- Responsible to find creative solutions to difficult problems facing any OPO or FD's orientation phase and marshal resources available to provide the select OPO or FD with the tools to improve and succeed

Candidates should possess:

- Physical therapy or occupational therapy licensure

- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience

- Must be willing and able to travel to any location in the company for brief periods
