PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY...
All too often patients are not seen as a "person", just a diagnosis. Through my experiences as a therapist, I have realized that each patient is an individual, thus requiring a treatment program tailored to their needs. I take on the role of "teacher" in many cases educating patients on the latest methods of rehabilitation and various ways to achieve their outlined goals. I look forward to interacting with patients and believe that rehab can be an enjoyable experience. My clinical environment is one that the patient will be motivated yet feel comfortable maintaining an open line of communication, thus strengthening their desire to improve. Ultimately, it is the patient's responsibility to follow through with their individualized program. However, with the appropriate training, proper treatment and most importantly education on how to maintain gains and avoid a reoccurrence of symptoms, all goals can be achieved.

DEDICATION TO PATIENTS
I am absolutely committed to providing professional and personalized care in a timely and efficient manner. After a formal evaluation, an individualized treatment program will be implemented. Once the patient has met all of their outlined goals, education will continue on how patients can make "lifestyle" changes to avoid a reoccurrence of their injury. John joined the PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services team in September 2002 as Facility Director and Physical Therapist of the Bedford Clinic. Previously, he worked in the Johnstown/Ebensburg areas. He has worked in various clinical settings, including inpatient acute care and rehab, as well as outpatient, primarily treating an adult/geriatric population. Outside the office, John resides with his wife Beth and son Owen in Altoona, PA. They are expecting the arrival of their second child in early March of 2003.

"I received immediate care.  Therapy was explained as to its importance."
